What
We Expect of Student
Co-ops or Student Placements
A student placement
who is successful in her performance will be considered one
who:
-
Completes,
to the best of her ability, any task which she assumes
responsibility for;
-
Promotes,
rather then undermines, team work;
-
Acknowledges,
promotes and follows, to the best o her ability, all the
policies, procedures and missions of this agency;
-
Considers
her commitment and dedication to this agency as important
and, therefore, is reliable and will notify the agency
of shift changes, lateness, absenteeism, etc.;
-
Will
notify the Manager of Volunteers (or her representative)
of any questions concerns, issues, ideas, etc., which
arise and which she considers important to her role or
to the operation of the Centre;
-
Is
an appropriate and positive representative of the Women's
Centre, promoting its essence in the community rather
than undermining its rapport and value;
-
Is
willing to direct her own involvement in the Centre by
choosing which tasks she will assume responsibility for
each shift; and
-
Is
willing to discuss concerns with the Manager of Volunteers
regarding any issue/situation related to the Centre, it's
staff, team or client population.
