Volunteer Application Process

This is the application process for volunteers:

1. Contact the centre and complete a volunteer application form.
   
   

2. Successfully pass a criminal reference check by the Ottawa Carleton Regional Police.
   
   

3. You will be required to sign a Contract of Confidentiality; a Volunteer Contract, and an Agreement to Uphold Fundamental Beliefs.
   
   

4. Successfully complete the mandatory 30-day probationary period, during which your performance will be observed and evaluated.

     Once accepted into the Volunteer program, you become an integral member of the team, the philosophy of which is to work together as a whole, in harmony and support for one another. Although it is natural for the team to become immersed in the goings-on at the Centre, should you require assistance, advice, or just need to talk, we encourage you to speak to the Co-ordinator of Volunteers or any staff member.
